The mod for Fallout New Vegas (New Vegas Anti-Crash) is actually backwards compatible with Fallout 3, and works like an absolute charm in situations when the game simply will not launch. If you’ve never modded your game, I suggest referring to the “Optimizing your game” section first, so you have the basic premise of modding/ ability to install FOSE. This ones going to sound far fetched, but it works.
